Retinal Detachment Repair

A retinal detachment occurs when the retina, the thin layer of nerve tissue at the back of the eye responsible for vision, pulls away from its normal position. Because the retina cannot function when detached, this is considered an eye emergency and usually requires prompt treatment to prevent permanent vision loss. If you notice a sudden increase in floaters, flashes of light, or a shadow or curtain moving across your vision, call us immediately.
