Lincoln Shaw, M.D.
Dr. Shaw received his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) in 2017 as part of their accelerated B.S./M.D. 6-year program in association with Youngstown State University. He then went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Chicago and completed a surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Chicago in the early 2023.
Dr. Shaw is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA), the American Society of Retinal Specialists (ASRS), and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). He has been involved in many clinical trials and research studies focused on topics including novel therapeutic approaches to treating diabetic retinopathy, the role of the gut microbiome in the development of age-related macular degeneration, and treatment strategies for neovascular glaucoma. He also has numerous peer-reviewed publications relating to novel therapeutic approaches to treating diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, laser and surgical repair of rare retinal diseases, treatment of neovascular glaucoma, and many other diseases of the retina and vitreous.
His surgical interests include retinal detachment repair, sutured intraocular lenses, macular holes and epiretinal membranes.
Dr. Shaw joined Retina & Vitreous Consultants of Wisconsin in 2022, and is excited to provide compassionate medical and surgical vitreoretinal care to the community.
